Why Is My AI Avatar Taking So Long to Train?

Created by Ayush Sharma, Modified on Mon, 4 Aug at 5:23 PM by Ayush Sharma

If your AI Avatar is taking longer than expected to train, don’t worry, this is usually temporary and depends on a few common factors. Here’s what might be causing the delay and what you can do about it.

1. You've uploaded a lot of content

If you’ve added many files like course PDFs, transcripts, website pages, or social posts — the system needs time to read, understand, and organize the information.

Tip: The more content you add at a time, the more time it takes. Let the system finish processing in the background.

2. Heavy Server Load

When many creators are training avatars at the same time, the queue gets longer.

What to do: Check back in 15–30 minutes. You don’t need to refresh or stay on the page — the system continues processing automatically.

3. Some Files May Be Unreadable

If you’ve uploaded image-based or scanned PDFs (with no actual text), or unsupported formats, they may slow things down or not process at all.

What to check: Make sure your files are clear, readable, and ideally in .pdf.txt, or .docx formats.

4. Training Not Yet Triggered

Sometimes content is added, but not marked for training.

Fix:
Go to the Brain tab → Click on the content → Make sure it’s marked as Used for training.

5. Internet Connection Issues

If your connection dropped while uploading large files, some items may be stuck or incomplete.

Fix:
Go to Uploads or Synced Assets and confirm everything was uploaded successfully. Re-upload if needed.

Note : Assets added to the Brain undergo automatic processing. If an asset fails, the system will make up to three attempts to recover. After the third failed attempt, the detailed error message will be displayed, helping you take corrective action.
