Creating a WhatsApp template is the first step in sending broadcasts or automated messages to your audience. These templates must be approved by WhatsApp (Meta) before use. Here’s how to do it in your Graphy dashboard.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open WhatsApp Campaigns

Click the Manage button in the “Manage Templates” banner, or access it via the ⚙️ Settings icon.

2. Click “Manage Templates”

Inside the Campaign Settings, scroll to the Manage Templates section and click Manage.

3. Start a New Template

Click the New button to create a new WhatsApp template.

4. Choose Template Category & Language

Select the Template Category:

  • Utility – transactional updates (lower cost)

  • Marketing – promotional messages (higher cost)

Then choose your template language.

5. Compose Template Message

Choose the content type:

  • Text, Image, Video, Document, Location, Carousel, Limited-Time Offer

Add personalization variables like {{Learner_Name}} or {{Course_name}}.

Add CTA buttons:

  • Phone number

  • URL

  • Quick reply

6. Review with AI

Your content is automatically reviewed by AI:

  • See the approval likelihood

  • Review and accept content suggestions

  • Or click Submit anyway to go with your original message

7. Submit & Await Approval

Once submitted, you’ll see a confirmation and your template will show as “Approval Pending”.
You will be notified by email once Meta approves the template.

✅ Notes

  • Approved templates will be listed and ready to use in your WhatsApp campaigns.

  • Templates cannot be edited once approved.

  • Use placeholders correctly to avoid rejection.

  • Avoid marketing language in Utility templates.
