This is a step-by-step guide to integrate Paypal as a payment gateway on your Graphy course platform.

This guide specifically talks about how to integrate Paypal. Paypal is especially helpful in collecting online payments from the international audience.

Settings within your Course Platform

Go to your Dashboard > SETTINGS > Payment

Choose the currency you would like to collect payment in. If the majority of learners are in the US, select "US Dollar".

Under the "Payment Gateway" select "Paypal". If you want to charge tax, click on "GST", "VAT", or click on "No Tax". If you want to charge tax, enter the percentage charged under "Default Tax Rate".

Finally, click on "Save".

Now, scroll down and fill the "Payment Gateway Details". You need to fill in a few details that you would get from your Paypal account.

Sign up with Paypal

Open a new tab & sign up with Paypal if you haven't already.

Now, go to developer.paypal.com.

On your dashboard, click on Developer > My Apps & Credentials.

Under "My apps & credentials", select "Live". Then, click on "Create App".

On the next page, enter your App Name. It can be the name of your brand or your institutes' name. Now click on "Create App".

Next up, you would find Client ID. Copy it. You would need to paste it under "Paypal Client ID".

Next up, click on "Show" & your Paypal Secret would be generated.

Copy the Paypal Secret Key.

Next up, you need to find "Paypal Webhook Id".

Scroll down & click on "Add Webhook".

You need to paste your Webhook URL. You would get it from your payment gateway page that you left open in the previous tab.

Copy the Webhook URL & come back to the Paypal tab.

Now, paste the Webhook URL.

You need to check the following boxes:

  • Payment sale completed
  • Payment sale denied

After the above settings, click on "Save".

Your Webhook would be added successfully.

Now, copy the Webhook ID.

Come back to the Paypal integration page that you left open.

Here, paste all the three pieces of information & click on "Save".

Your Paypal integration is complete.
