This article covers how to create new Heading, Text, Quiz, Form, Live Test, Live Class & Assignment within your course on the spot.
Creating your first course is an essential step towards your success. This article simplifies the course creation process. It also guides you to build and organize content to offer to your users.
Once the course is set up, click on the Course Builder icon to open "Course Builder". Course Builder allows you to create a course by uploading content in simple and easy steps.
On the Course Builder landing page, click on “Add First Chapter” or “Add New Chapter”.
A new set of options would pop up enabling you to select your preferred form of uploading content.
Upload New Item
This option allows you to directly import files from your computer and upload them as the course content.
1. PDF
You can directly upload the PDF file to the course from your computer.
Select PDF, choose the file from your PC, then click upload.
Once you choose a file from your computer, the file would start to process. Once it gets processed completely 100%, click on "Save" to save the PDF to your course.
2. Video
You have the option to add the video content here. The uploaded videos are completely secured and non-downloadable. You can also embed YouTube and Vimeo videos here.
Upload Video from Computer:
Click on upload, choose the file from your computer & select upload. Only MP4 files are allowed. Once uploaded, videos are transcended and encryption is applied to secure the videos. After processing the video 100%, click on "Save" to add the video to the course. Once uploaded you can edit and update the title of the video.
Note - For security purposes, we do not store mp4 files, only encrypted files are being stored on the platform. These videos are not recoverable. It's better to have a copy with yourself.
3. Audio
Click on "Audio". Now upload the audio file & click on "Upload". You can drag and drop the file or upload it from your PC.
The audio file will be uploaded and processed within a few seconds.
Once the audio file is processed, you can play it by clicking on the play button.
4. SCORM
SCORM stands for Shareable Content Object Reference Model. This option enables you to Import the course content from the host server to your institution panel. SCORM packages are included in the course.

You can add SCORM by choosing the file from your computer. The file must contain index.html at the root directory. The max size of the ZIP must be 250 MB. Upload the file, then submit.
5. File
Under this option, you can add any file directly from your P.C.
Create New Item
This option allows you to create and add content within the course on the spot.
Heading
The Heading is the title of the content which helps readers determine the overall outline of the document.
Before you put up any form of content in the course, you need to define the individual chapter headings. Under chapter headings, you can upload multiple forms of content with or without a sub-chapter heading.
Steps:
Select Heading, add the chapter heading then click "submit".
The Heading would be visible in the Table of Contents, as the title of every chapter. It is recommended to create a heading before putting up any content. The headings will also be visible to learners on the Course Store page.
Text
This option is used to create textual lessons for your course. You can embed iframe and add HTML code through the Source option.
Steps:
Select Text. Fill in the title of the textual content, then click "submit".
An HTML editor will open, where you can enter the whole textual lesson along with its title. This feature allows multiple types of texts including special characters, images, video files etc.
In case, you want learners to share or download this content, then check the 'Enable Sharing' checkbox.
After adding all the details, click on the "save" button.
Quiz
A quiz is usually a short test. It is an interesting and engaging way for learners to better understand the nuances of the course. Learners can attempt it at any time and view instant results.
Steps:
Click on "Quiz", then fill in the relevant quiz information.
Title- This contains the title of the Quiz.
Time Limit- Determine the maximum time taken by learners to finish the test. If you want limitless timing, then you can choose zero.
No. of Allowed Attempts- You can give liberty to the learners to attempt a quiz multiple times. Just select the number of times you want to allow them to attempt the quiz. You can leave this space blank if you don't want to restrict the number of times they appear.
Automatically choose random questions based on pre-defined filters- If you want the system to shuffle the questions and give learners a different set of questions every time they take the test, then you can opt for this option.
After filling in the above information, click Submit.
You will be redirected to a page where you have to enter the Quiz details.
You can upload the Quiz questions directly from your desktop in multiple formats, or import from the Question Bank.
Live Test
Live Tests are taken only during a fixed window to check the learners' ability to perform. Results are manually generated by admins. Leadership board is visible to learners after result declaration.
Steps:
Click on "Live Test", then fill in the below information.
Title- This contains the title of the Test.
Time Limit- Determine the maximum time taken by learners to finish the test. This can't be zero.
Test Open Window- You have to determine the opening & closing date & time of the test here.
After filling the above information, click Submit.
You will be redirected to a page where you have to enter the Test details.
You can upload the questions directly from your desktop in multiple formats, or import from the Question Bank.
Live Class
Conducting Live Classes & hosting webinars make your online course extremely engaging and efficient for your learners.
Steps:
Click on "Live Class", then fill in the below information.
Title- This contains the course item title. Under this name, the live class would be displayed.
Available From- Specify the Date & Time at which the Live Class has to be scheduled.
After entering the above details, click "Submit".
Upon submission, a detailed page will open where you need to enter other key details. The rest of the process is explained in details here.
Form
The Form can be used to collect any information from the learners while they are taking the course.
Steps:
Click on "Form", fill in the title of the New Form, then Submit.
You will be redirected to a page where you can enter the whole Form Information along with its title. You can add multiple text boxes, text areas, radio buttons, select buttons to get feedback from learners.
Assignment
Assigning learners tasks is a great way to assess their grasp on a certain topic or a chapter. Assignments are used to conduct subjective tests. Learners can write the answers and can upload the answers in PDF format. Once submitted, Teachers can accept or reject the answer. Below are the steps to create an Assignment.
Steps:
Click on "Assignment", fill in the title of the New Assignment, then Submit.
You will be redirected to a page where you have to fill in the assignment details.
Title- This contains the title of the assignment.
Instructions- You can use this space to give a set of directions to the learners before doing the assignment.
Upload Template- You can upload the answer template here which users will use to complete the assignment. Please note that this step is optional.
Confirmation Message- This is a customized message which the learners would get after submitting their assignment.
After filling in the above information, click "Save".

Choose from Asset Library
An asset library is your personalized library consisting of all the course materials uploaded by your institution. Here, you can choose any document which is uploaded at any time in your institution panel and add them to your current course.
