Community

In this article, we will guide you through the overview of the community tab. 

What is Community?

Community is a dedicated section where users can engage with each other, share insights, ask questions, and build connections.

•  Community members can interact, collaborate, and engage in free-flowing peer-to-peer discussions related to the platform’s content, and courses.
•  Members can tag creators to clear doubts about any query.

Go to the left navigation bar and click on the community icon.

Under this tab, you'll find two sections:
1. Manage your community and interact with users using community settings and mentions.
2. Manage clubs and channels for respective courses under all channels sections.

Mentions

• In this section, you can see all the activities where you are mentioned. It will display who mentioned you and when.
• Click on any mention will take you directly to the specific message where you were mentioned. This helps you stay updated and respond promptly to relevant activities.

Community settings

• Here you can manage the clubs and channels. It helps you to edit club and channel names and add new channels.
• This tab is accessible to respective admins for customization and management.

Clubs and Channels

1. Clubs

• There is a separate club for every published course and membership. It is accessible to specific learners who have purchased particular courses (through membership too).
• The open club is accessible to every learner who has signed up for a course.
• It includes all the users who sign up on the platform, whether they have purchased the course or not.

2. Channels

 Channels are user-friendly spaces for you to interact, provide important updates, and resolve doubts,   making the learning experience more engaging and convenient. These channels are default options,   but you can also add or remove channels as needed.

• Discussions: Engage in casual conversations, and connect with peers in a lively atmosphere.  Facilitate connections among learners in an active environment. Additionally, enhance your teaching by:
  • Offering guidance.
  • Sharing valuable insights.
  • Providing mentorship opportunities.

• Announcements: Stay informed and up-to-date with important updates and announcements from instructors. This read-only channel ensures:
  • Clarity and Consistency: Learners receive information directly from instructors, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging.
  • Timely Communication: Instructors can quickly disseminate urgent or time-sensitive information to all learners in a centralized location. Whether it's a deadline extension, an upcoming event, or course-related news.          

• Question- Answer: In this dedicated channel, creators and instructors can address:
  • Learners' questions.
  • Offer guidance on course materials.
  • Share teaching strategies.
