Sell Package with Offline Products Combo
In the package section, under "Product & Validity Variants" you will have the option to sell a package with a combination of an offline product.
Example: If you want to sell the hard copy of a book along with the course package, you can do that and with a different price & validity.
Product Variant
Under "Product Variant", you can create various package combination with offline products. First "Product Variant" is by default created with the "Product type" Course Access. Here you can just define the validity period of the package which doesn't include any offline combination.
However, if you don't want to solely sell packages, then you can edit the "Product Type".
Under "Product & Validity Variants", go to the "Product Type" and fill in the information of your first product.
Create New Product Variant
Similarly, you can create multiple product variants by clicking on "New Product Variant", placed at the right.
Please note that all the fields will be the same in every product variant.
Let's understand the different sections of the Product Variants tool:
Product Type
This field should define what this product variant contains.
Example: If you want to sell a book with the package, you should fill in "Course Access+ Economics Book", so that your learners get a better understanding of what they are paying for.
Validity Type
Every package that you publish has a certain validity period, after which it automatically expires. This option allows you to specify a time frame for your learners to consume your package. Beyond the set time frame, your learners won't be able to access the course.
There are five kinds of validity types that you can choose from.
Please note that you can either choose one or the combination of them.
Lifetime: It means your product will have unlimited validity.
Example: If you choose Lifetime Validity, then your course will never expire.
No. of Days: You can set up a fixed number of days for which the product will be valid once the learners purchase it.
Example: If you choose 30, the learner would be able to view the course only for 30 days, after which it would expire.
Fixed Date: You can set a pre-determined date, on that date the product will expire, irrespective of whenever the learners purchase it.
Example: If you set a date say 24.10.19, then on that day the course would automatically expire.
Max Viewing Hours: You can define the validity period in terms of the number of hours a learner has viewed the course.
Example: If you set this to 50, then after their 50 hours of watch time, the course would automatically expire.
Individual Course Validity: If you don't want to put in a separate package validity and want the courses in the package to expire as per their individual validity type, choose this option.
Example: The package contains Micro Economics & Macro Economics. Micro Economics expires in 60 days & Macro Economics expire in 50 days. Then the learner purchasing this package will have a separate validity period for courses i.e. 60 days & 50 days respectively.
Price: This determines the actual value of the course at which you want to price your course.
Example: If you want to price your course at Rs. 2500, it would be shown the same.
Discounted Price: The discounted price of the course is the current price of the course after the discount on the actual price, at which you want to offer your course to the learners. The discounted price can never exceed the actual price.
Example: If you are pricing your course at Rs. 2,500 but want to offer Rs. 500 discount on it, then the discounted price would be Rs. 2,000.
Validity Variant
If you want to apply more than one Validity Type on one product, click on "Add Validity Variant" just below the product where you want to add multiple validity type.
Please note you can create a different price structure for different validity type.
After the above changes, scroll down & click on "Submit" to save it.
