This article guides you through the step-by-step process of using "Refer & Earn" as a marketing channel within the Graphy Platform.
Once you have created your course, the next step is to market it. In the Graphy platform itself, there are several in-built marketing tools. This article explains how to leverage "Refer & Earn" to market your courses.
Every student is given a unique referral code. The students can use these codes to refer the course to someone else. Whenever anyone purchases the course using these referral codes, the respective student earns credit in his wallet.
Using Refer & Earn for marketing
Visit your Dashboard, scroll down and select "Marketing". Here, you can view all the available features. Now, head over to the "Refer & Earn" to explore it in detail.
Enable/Disable Refer & Earn
If you don't want this feature on your platform you can turn it off. To enable or disable the "Refer & Earn" feature click on the top right corner button.
Please note that "Refer & Earn" features are by default enabled on your platform.
The referrer is the person who has referred a course to someone, who is called Referee.
You have to specify the credit points earned by Referrer & Referee whenever a Referee purchases the course through the reference.
Event: New Signup
Here you have to specify the credit given to the referrer as well as a referee whenever a new user signs up on your platform.
Example: Learner A refers the course to Learner B. Learner B uses the Referral Code of Learner A and signs up for the first time on your platform. In this scenario, if you fill in 30 for "Referrer" & 20 for "Referee", then Learner A gets 30 credits, as well as Learner B, gets 20 credits in their wallets.
Event: First Transaction
Here you have to specify the credit given to the referrer as well as a referee whenever the user who signed up through reference makes its first transaction.
Example: Learner A refers the course to Learner B. Learner B uses the Referral Code of Learner A and purchases a course for the first time from your platform. In this scenario, if you fill in 50 for "Referrer" & 40 for "Referee", then Learner A gets 50 credits, as well as Learner B, gets 40 credits in their wallets.
Please note that in both the above cases both Learner A & Learner B can redeem the credits while making their next transaction.
After filling in the above details, click on "Submit" to save the changes.
Maximum Referral Count
Through this setting, you can add the specified credit on affiliates' accounts every time a learner signs up for a course through the affiliate.
Referred Credits Validity
Here, you have to define how long these credits will be valid to be used. If you want the credits to expire after 60 days, for instance, you should fill 60. If you want to give lifetime validity, keep it blank.
Add the required number and click on "Submit" to save the changes.
